Talking to reporters, he said that until last year the country had only one training centre for aerospace engineering and aircraft maintenance, which was opened in Karachi in 1975.

The second such centre was established in Lahore in November last year and this year centres have been opened in Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Swat, Nawabshah, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad and Sukkur.

 

The centres had started producing engineers certified by the European Aviation and Safety Agency, he said.
