Tuesday, July 15th, 2025 – Le Loroux-Bottereau, France ALSIM is delighted to announce that Florida Tech Aviation, the flight training school at U.S.-based Florida Institute of Technology, has purchased two new ALSIM AL100i simulators to supercharge student training on its fleet of Piper Pilot 100i aircraft.
The AL100i is an exact replica of the Piper Pilot 100i, the top selling trainer aircraft developed by Piper. The simulator is designed to FTD (Flight Training Device) Level 5 standards, offering a full-size flight deck replica, a semi-enclosed instructor station, active control loading, and a specific flight model based on aircraft flight characteristics.
The AL100i is equipped with an immersive visual system featuring three projectors, delivering an unequaled 210×55° field of view.
Additionally, the simulator is equipped with the original G3X and GNX 375 manufactured by Garmin. This integration guarantees the same level of performance, features and ergonomics found in the actual aircraft, a world first for this avionics suite.
“Flight training devices are a featured element of all the flight courses at Florida Tech Aviation. As an integral part of our curriculum, this training must be consistent and effective and present an exceedingly accurate version of our fleet avionics. ALSIM was the first company to provide a custom-designed simulator that best matched our Piper Pilot 100i aircraft with G3X Touch avionics. We were impressed by the build quality, precision cockpit replica, and clear, sharp visuals.
These strengths, coupled with ALSIM’s track record of innovation and customer support convinced us these were a great fit for Florida Tech Aviation.” says Jay Arcemont, Executive Director of Flight Operations at Florida Tech’s College of Aeronautics.
Jean-Pierre Simon, Managing Director at ALSIM, states: “We thank Florida Tech for placing their trust in us by adding two new AL100i simulators to their fleet. We are proud of this new product, which replicates the flight model of the Pilot 100i with the original Garmin G3X avionics. We are excited to see how the simulators will support and enhance students’ training.”
ALSIM will be present at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh from July 21 to 27, 2025 (Booth #2018), where visitors will have the opportunity to discover and try out the brand-new AL100i simulator in its light version.
