  • IN-SPACe Backs Student Space Learning, Unveils ‘CubeSat 101’

New Delhi. 25 February 2026 Space Kidz India  announced the official unveiling of its comprehensive curriculum book, “CubeSat 101: Inception to Operations,” marking a historic milestone in structured satellite education in India. This program stands as India’s first dedicated space curriculum to be recognized as a Micro Diploma, setting a new benchmark in formalized CubeSat training and space technology education.

The book was formally released by Dr. Vinod Kumar, presently Director, Promotion Directorate at the Indian National Space Promotion & Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe). On this occasion, certification was presented to Dr. Srimathy, CEO Space Kidz India in recognition of the academic rigor, technical strength, and national relevance of the curriculum. This validation by IN-SPACe stands as a powerful endorsement of Space Kidz India’s commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-aligned space education programs that meet national standards and support India’s growing private space ecosystem.

CubeSat 101The ceremony was graced by Anil Prakash, Director General of the Satcom Industry Association (SIA), along with other distinguished members of the space and satellite fraternity. Their presence reflected the increasing synergy between industry leadership and educational institutions in building a robust and innovation-driven space ecosystem for India.

Space Kidz India expresses its sincere gratitude to IN-SPACe for its validation and encouragement. The organization also extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Pawan Goenka for his continued support and visionary guidance in fostering structured space education initiatives aligned with India’s national development goals and space ambitions.

Special acknowledgment is extended to Dr. Kshitij Mall, Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering at the University of South Alabama, Engineers from the Aatmanirbar Trust, Abigail, Ambassador ShaktiSAT from Argentina,  Aandi,  Smarshila Devi, Sriram, Srikrishnan and Inthayaraj whose expertise and academic leadership helped in shaping this curriculum. Space Kidz India also extends its sincere thanks to Hexaware Technologies for its valuable support in enabling this initiative and contributing to the advancement of technology-driven education.

The curriculum underwent an intensive and comprehensive review process by eminent former ISRO directors, including Dr. Prakash Rao PJVKS, Dr. Surendra Pal, Dr. Alok Srivastava.

Their expert insights, technical scrutiny, and academic recommendations have significantly strengthened the framework of the program. Space Kidz India deeply acknowledges their invaluable contributions in ensuring that this curriculum meets the highest standards of satellite engineering, systems integration, and mission operations.

CertificateFounded with the mission of empowering students, particularly young girls, through hands-on space education, Space Kidz India has consistently pioneered student satellite programs, global collaborations, and experiential STEM learning platforms. With multiple student satellites successfully launched and thousands of students trained in space sciences, the organization continues to break barriers and democratize access to space technology education.

CubeSat 101: Inception to Operations has been designed as a structured, end-to-end guide to small satellite development. The curriculum comprehensively covers mission conceptualization, systems engineering, subsystem design, payload integration, regulatory pathways, environmental testing, launch campaigns, and post-launch mission operations. It effectively bridges the gap between theoretical academic learning and real-time satellite execution, equipping learners with both conceptual understanding and practical readiness.

In a major forthcoming development, the curriculum will be uploaded to a Government of India portal under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, where it will be formally recognized as a certified Micro Diploma program. As India’s first space-focused Micro Diploma curriculum, it will provide students, academic institutions, start-ups, and aspiring satellite engineers with structured, government-recognized training in CubeSat technology, contributing meaningfully to India’s expanding space economy.

This unveiling marks not merely the release of a book, but the establishment of a scalable national framework for structured CubeSat education.

With validation from IN-SPACe, endorsement from industry leadership, strong academic collaboration, and forthcoming government recognition, Space Kidz India reaffirms its commitment to shaping the next generation of satellite engineers and space innovators.

The ecosystem is ready.
The validation is complete.
The future of satellite innovation begins now.
