Lieutenant General DS Kushwah, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GoC) of the Maharashtra Gujarat & Goa Area (MG & G Area), was on an inspection visit to Army establishments in Nagpur, Kamptee, and Pulgaon between January 20-22, 2026.

During his visit on January 20 to the Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area (UM & G S), the General Officer was extensively briefed on the Sub Area’s preparations for wartime and peacetime roles besides the Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief operations, welfare programmes for ex-servicemen, civilian tours of Sitabuldi Fort, and other ongoing initiatives. 

The General Officer chaired the Military Civil Fusion (MCF) Conclave, which drew participants from various civil departments, NDRF, industry and academia wherein he engaged with senior dignitaries.  He made a visit to JSR Dynamics, to gain insights into its facilities and operations.

On January 21, 2026, the General Officer inspected Pulgaon Military Station, where he received updates on advanced security technologies and forthcoming infrastructure projects at the Central Ammunition Depot. 

Later, on Thursday, he visited the Guard Regimental Centre (GRC), Army Postal Service Wing, Army Public School and units of Kamptee Military Station. At GRC, he observed modern training methods and facilities for Agniveers. He commended the innovative training approaches for Agniveers, educational enhancements at the Army Public School, and welfare measures for soldiers, families, and veterans undertaken by the Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area.
