Lieutenant General D S Kushwah, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa Area visited Army establishments in Nagpur wef 16 September to 18 September 2025. On 17 Sep 2025 during his visit to Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area the General Officer was briefed by Maj Gen S K Vidyarthi, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area about preparations of the Sub Area towards it’s role during War and Peace. This included the active role being played in Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief, Welfare Initiatives for Ex-Servicemen, Heritage Tours of Sitabuldi Fort being conducted for Civilians and Infrastructure development plans including training of Agniveers at GRC Kamptee & functioning of CAD Pulgaon. The General Officer applauded all efforts being undertaken, especially for welfare of soldiers and veterans through events at Nagpur as well as highlighting for the various facts of the Indian Army for the benefit of the local populace.
The Gen Offr also visited Solar Industrial Explosives, where he was briefed about the facilities, defence related manufacturing and functioning of the Industries.
