Bahrain. 24 May 2025: A high-level all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by Hon’ble Member of Parliament Jayant Panda, arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain on 24 May 2025 as part of India’s strategic diplomatic outreach. The visit aimed to reinforce bilateral ties and present a unified national stance against terrorism to the Gulf nation.
The delegation was warmly received at Bahrain International Airport by H.E. Vinod K. Jacob, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The itinerary included engagements with prominent Bahraini dignitaries and key stakeholders, acknowledging their role in deepening India-Bahrain relations. The Indian MPs expressed appreciation for the support extended by Bahrain to the Indian community and for fostering mutual cooperation.
A central theme of the visit was India’s firm and uncompromising position against terrorism. During interactions with Bahraini officials, the delegation reiterated India’s call for global unity in confronting terrorism and highlighted India’s recent actions under Operation Sindoor. The discussions also addressed the importance of preventing extremist propaganda and state-sponsored disinformation.
Later in the day, the delegation met with members of the Indian diaspora residing in Bahrain. Addressing the community, Baijayant Panda emphasized the Indian government’s commitment, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to safeguarding Indian citizens abroad and countering terrorism through international cooperation.
The Bahrain leg of the Indian all-party delegation’s tour highlighted India’s proactive diplomacy in the Gulf and its unwavering stance against terrorism. With Bahrain reaffirming its friendship and the Indian community expressing strong patriotic sentiments, the visit served to strengthen people-to-people connections and strategic alignment between the two nations.
