Paris, 27 May 2025: As part of a multi-nation diplomatic outreach, an Indian all-party parliamentary delegation led by Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, concluded a significant leg of its visit in France with high-level meetings and media interactions focused on global counter-terrorism cooperation.

The day began with an interaction with senior journalists from leading French and international media outlets. The Indian delegation highlighted the country’s firm and unwavering stance against terrorism, underscoring the need for greater international solidarity in combating the menace. The discussions reflected India’s strategic focus on fostering global consensus in isolating terror sponsors and dismantling extremist propaganda networks.

In a strong display of bilateral unity, the delegation held meetings at the French National Assembly with Members of Parliament led by Mr. Thierry Tesson, President of the France-India Friendship Group. Later, they engaged with Senators from the French Senate’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, accompanied by Vice President Ms. Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio and members of the France-India Friendship Group.

During these interactions, the Indian side reiterated the country’s commitment to counter-terrorism and its resolve to act decisively against threats to national and global peace. French lawmakers expressed strong support for India’s position, acknowledging the shared values and mutual security concerns that anchor the France-India strategic partnership.

The delegation’s visit to Paris marked a reinforcement of the enduring France-India partnership grounded in democratic values and mutual respect. As the two nations continue to deepen defence, security, and strategic cooperation, the visit served as a timely affirmation of their united front in the global fight against terrorism.
