Nagpur, 15 August 2025 – As the nation celebrated the 78th anniversary of India’s Independence, Headquarters Maintenance Command, Indian Air force, Nagpur hosted a grand Musical Evening at the iconic Suresh Bhat Auditorium.
The highlight of the evening was a scintillating performance by the Indian Air Force Band, which captivated the audience with a repertoire of stirring patriotic and soulful tunes. The Band’s flawless renditions, blending precision and emotion, evoked a deep sense of pride among the youth and heartfelt gratitude among citizens of all ages.
The event also marked the celebration of the successful Operation Sindoor, a milestone in India’s journey towards self-reliance in defence under the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives. The audience applauded the IAF’s contribution to strengthening national security and fostering indigenous technological capabilities. Attended by a large gathering of locals, dignitaries, veterans, and families, the evening became a moving tribute to the valour of freedom fighters and armed forces personnel.
The Indian Air Force reaffirmed its commitment to motivating the younger generation to contribute to the nation’s progress, whether through service in the armed forces or by supporting innovations in the defence sector.
