- Invisible Defences: DIASPRO CEO Rakesh Madhra on SAR Protection, EW Innovation and Future Warfare
- Made-in-India Electronic Warfare: DIASPRO’s Breakthrough Technologies for the Air Force
Dubai. 30 November 2025. At the Dubai Airshow’s innovation-driven startup pavilion in the Inspiration Zone, DIASPRO Intech Pvt Ltd—an IDEX-winning Indian defence technology company—stood out with breakthrough electronic warfare (EW) systems designed for the Indian Air Force and India’s strategic needs. Led by CEO Rakesh Madhra, DIASPRO specializes in advanced RF technologies and mission-critical solutions that shield the nation’s key assets from modern surveillance and precision-guided threats. From SAR image denial systems to counter-battery jammers and radar target simulators, DIASPRO’s innovations highlight how India’s startups are shaping the battlefield of tomorrow with indigenous ingenuity. In this conversation, Suvadeep Panty DGM Engg shares insights into their cutting-edge technologies, their development path under IDEX, and what it means for India’s evolving EW landscape.
ADU. We’re meeting you here at the Dubai Airshow’s startup zone, where several IDEX winners are showcasing innovations. What has DIASPRO Intech brought to the global stage this year?
Suvadeep Panty. DIASPRO Intech is a design and development company focused entirely on RF technologies, with a specialization in electronic warfare. The flagship system we are showcasing is our SAR Image Denial System, developed under IDEX for the Indian Air Force. This is a one-of-its-kind system globally, designed to prevent adversaries from capturing radar-based images of India’s high-value strategic assets—airstrips, missile batteries, refineries, dams and more. It addresses a critical requirement in modern warfare.
ADU. Why is preventing SAR imaging so strategically important today?
Suvadeep Panty. SAR can image through cloud cover, darkness, and foliage, making it extremely powerful in both wartime and peacetime reconnaissance. Adversaries can sit hundreds of kilometres away—250, 300, even 400 km—and map our most sensitive sites. Blocking SAR imaging denies them this advantage and protects our strategic deterrence and readiness.
ADU. You mentioned additional EW systems. What else have you developed?
Suvadeep Panty. We are also showcasing two new solutions—a Radar Target Simulator (RTS) and Counter-Battery Radar Jammers. RTS has two roles. In peacetime, it helps train air defence personnel by mimicking the radar signatures of different aircraft, cruise missiles and drones. In wartime, it can act as a decoy to mislead enemy sensors and protect our fighter aircraft. The Counter-Battery Radar Jammer is designed for artillery survivability. It prevents enemy radars from back-calculating the firing position of our artillery units, which is crucial because once that location is detected, the unit becomes highly vulnerable to enemy strikes.
ADU. How has the response been at the Dubai Airshow?
Suvadeep Panty. The footfall has been excellent. For startups like ours, this platform offers tremendous exposure to global defence ecosystems, and the interest in our EW systems has been very encouraging.
ADU. At what stage is the SAR Image Denial System with the Indian Air Force now?
Suvadeep Panty. It is currently in PR-116, the design and development stage. We expect to enter single-system composite trials with the Indian Air Force by April. Once successful, we will move toward production and deployment.
ADU. And DIASPRO has its own R&D and manufacturing setup?
Suvadeep Panty. Yes, our R&D and manufacturing facilities operate together, and our corporate office is in Gurgaon. This gives us end-to-end control over development, integration, and testing.
DIASPRO Intech’s innovations underscore the expanding role of Indian defence startups in shaping next-generation electronic warfare capabilities. Suvadeep wrapped up the conversation with, “Under the leadership of Rakesh Madhra, the company has developed breakthrough systems—from denying adversaries SAR intelligence to safeguarding artillery units and strengthening air defence training and deception.” As DIASPRO prepares for trials with the Indian Air Force, its growing technology arsenal positions it as a critical player in India’s EW modernization journey. The Dubai Airshow proved to be a fitting global platform to highlight how indigenous engineering, strategic vision, and innovation are redefining India’s defensive and offensive EW landscape.
