New Delhi, India, January 16, 2026 – Embraer (NYSE: ERJ/B3: EMBR3) has appointed Aniruddho Chakraborty head of communications, India. Aniruddho will lead Embraer’s communications activities across the company’s commercial, defence, executive aviation, and support and services businesses.
Embraer opened its new central hub for the company’s Indian operations in Aerocity, New Delhi last year, and is growing the team as it builds capacity to capitalize on opportunities within the country’s evolving aerospace and defense industry. Embraer’s strategic long-term vision is to help strengthen India’s aerospace ecosystem through close collaborations with local aviation industry and expertise, supporting India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission and ‘Make in India’ initiatives.
Embraer’s history in India dates back 20 years, when the first E-Jets began operations in 2005, opening new frontiers in regional connectivity. Today, nearly 50 Embraer aircraft across 11 different types operate in India, serving the Indian Air Force, other government agencies, business jet operators and a commercial airline – Star Air.
Aniruddho joins Embraer from RTX, where he served as Head of External Communications India for its Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon business units. With 17 years’ experience in corporate communications, Aniruddho has worked with Boeing, RTX, Ericsson, Tata Teleservices and Comic Con India, and holds a master’s degree in advertising & public relations from Indian Institute of Mass Communications, New Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University.
