DVE, Cockpit and Precision Guided Munitions Solutions

BrightNite™ Visitors to the company’s booth will be able to experience a virtual reality demonstration of the BrightNite system that enables intuitive head-up, eyes-out orientation flight in extreme low visibility conditions. This system is a multi-spectral end to end panoramic piloting solution that fuses multiple day and night cameras into one clear intuitive piloting picture regardless of external light conditions and delivers the landscape scenery directly to both eyes of the pilot. It includes 2D flight symbology, 3D mission symbology and Elbit Systems’ unique brownout symbology.

The Smart Glass Cockpit for helicopters suite integrates an HDTS (Helmet Display and Tracking System), intuitive user-interface, multi-functional smart displays and next-generation applications to deliver a fully compatible multi-mission cockpit.

The glass cockpit enables the crew to execute a wide variety of missions, ranging from utility to naval and attack missions, while receiving relevant aircraft and mission data and reducing life-cycle costs. With vast experience in advanced cockpit avionics and a broad range of core technologies, systems and products, Elbit Systems offers a baseline glass cockpit configuration, with the possibility to add different systems and sub-systems, according to each customer’s needs, such as Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System (EICAS), digital map, Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), Primary Flight Display (PFD), Electro-Optic Payload (EOP) display, navigation aids and others.

Guided Advanced Tactical Rocket (GATR) (multimedia presentation) is an affordable semi-active, laser-guided, 70 mm rocket. Featuring a unique aerodynamic design, cutting-edge multi-purpose electronic fusing delay, Intensive Munitions (IM) warhead and an advanced launcher, GATR offers a degree of precision-strike capability and deliverable ordnance that are unmatched by any other 70 mm munitions system. It’s cutting-edge and variable fuzing solutions enable GATR to provide combat flexibility to engage a great variety of target sets, both stationary and maneuvering, with reduced collateral damage. Thoroughly tested and evaluated, the GATR system is highly customizable and applicable to fixed-wing platforms, rotary-wing platforms and ground launchers.

Helicopter Self-Protection Systems

Mini-MUSIC™ provides fixed and rotary-wing aircraft with enhanced protection against multiple missile threats. Built on years of proven experience in a military environment, this operational Directional Infra-Red Countermeasures (DIRCM) solution can also be integrated with various missile warning systems (MWS) for reliable and affordable protection. The MUSIC systems have a proven track record of protecting multiple types of aircraft against heat-seeking ground-to-air IR missiles and have been selected a number of governments, international organizations and private sector aircraft owners to protect both fleets and special aircraft.

All-in-Small™ (multimedia presentation) is an extremely small and lightweight integrated airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) self-protection suite, in a single line replaceable unit. All-in-Small can be effectively integrated with DIRCM systems due to its high range detection and direction finding accuracy and enables quick and efficient jamming.

Airborne Radio and Communication Systems

Airborne Software Defined Radio (SDR) MCTR-7200 (multimedia presentation) is part of a family of tactical SDR offering superior operational versatility. MCTR-7200 is a multi-waveform tactical IP radio that features a uniquely designed software communications architecture, an intuitive user interface and multiple configuration options. The multi-use, single platform contains powerful programmable hardware that offers reliable triple play services – voice, video and data – simultaneously over a single narrowband tactical 25Hz channel and high speed data over wideband channels.

AN/PRC-648 PLB (multimedia presentation) is an airborne personal survival radiointended for non-combat SAR missions. The system is designed to provide ultra-reliable performance in severe environments. This uniquely feature-rich Personal Locator Beacon has an integral voice transceiver offering multichannel VHF/UHF resources. An embedded GPS receiver provides for automatic position reporting, for geo-location with better than 10 meters (33 feet) accuracy. The triple beacon enables transmitting distress signals over all the internationally recognized emergency frequencies.

Airborne LINK22 Signal Processing Controller SPC 1921 is TELEFUNKEN RACOMS’ next generation data link for long-range applications. The system provides forces with interoperability in various scenarios including multinational military operations and maritime SAR missions. The system is operationally proven and compatible with NATO requirements.

HRA 5100 is TELEFUNKEN RACOMS’ airborne communication system supporting voice and data link in air-to-air and air-to-ground applications and non-line-of-sight flight. The system enables automatic radio communication by passive and active channel analysis, automatic channel selection from a preset frequency list and adaptive reaction to varying propagation conditions. The system performs sophisticated error detection and correction.

Airborne Training and Simulation

EVA™ for helicopters – Embedded Virtual Avionics (EVA) is a suite designed to shorten the training gap between trainer and modern fighter aircraft. Allowing the trainees to operate advanced systems, such as virtual radar, optical sensors and EW systems, as well as virtual air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, EVA transforms the aircraft into a virtual advanced fighter, while maintaining the hourly training costs of a trainer.

In-Flight Electronic Warfare Simulator (IFEWS™) enables today’s fighting force to cost-effectively maximize operational readiness, while supporting diverse battlefield requirements. A revolutionary solution in the area of embedded training for EW, IFEWS™ offers near logistics-free deployment and a customizable, realistic training experience. IFEWS™ implementation and deployment minimizes the need for EW range build-up, range upgrades and ongoing maintenance, facilitating a rapid return on investment (ROI).
