A ceremonial parade marking the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations was held today  at the BSF Campus, Bhuj (Gujarat) in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Union  Home and Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah. The Minister paid floral tributes at  the BSF Memorial before reviewing the parade at the parade ground of 176 Battalion  BSF.

The parade featured 12-foot contingents (11 from BSF Frontiers and one Mahila  Contingent), showcasing the valour, discipline, and legacy of the Seema Praharis. They  were followed by the Camel Contingent with its mounted band, Dog Squad, Horse  Contingent, and Communication Contingent. Tableaux from Gujarat Frontier, Water  Wing, Air Wing, Jammu Frontier, BSF Academy Gwalior, and BSF Institute of  Communication and Information Technology (BICIT) highlighted the BSF’s  operational prowess and technical capabilities. 

For the first time in BSF history, four BSF personnel executed a breathtaking  skydiving display with a perfect landing in the parade arena. This was followed by  camel-back acrobatics, a spirited performance by the BSF Women’s Pipe Band, high precision formations by the BSF Motorcycle Trick-Riding teams, and an impressive  demonstration by the Canine unit. The newly-established Drone Warfare School also  presented a unique drone display, reflecting BSF’s growing technological edge. 

Welcoming the Chief Guest on behalf of the Prahari Parivar, DG BSF Daljit  Singh Chawdhary expressed gratitude for his presence and reaffirmed the force’s  unwavering commitment to national security and nation-building. 

Hon’ble Minister Amit Shah paid rich tributes to the BSF Bravehearts who  made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and lauded the immaculate conduct of the  parade. He also highlighted the force’s stellar role in “Operation Sindoor.” Honourable  Minister released a Postal Stamp commemorating the Golden Jubilee celebrations of  BSF. Amit Shah lauded the BSF’s border management efforts on Western and  Eastern Borders of India.  

The Chief Guest presented Gallantry Medals to the next of kin of the Seema  Praharis who laid down their lives in the UN Mission in the Democratic Republic of  Congo, and awarded President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service to serving and  retired personnel. The prestigious General Choudhary Trophy was awarded to 27 Bn  BSF, while the DG’s Banner for LWE Operations went to 94 Bn BSF. The DG’s  Trophy for Best Field ‘G’ Team was bagged by FGT Bhanu Pratap Pur, Chhattisgarh.  Jammu Frontier received both the Maharana Pratap Trophy for Best Border  Management and the Ashwini Trophy for excellence in Sports & Training.
