HAMPSHIRE (UK) – Sep, 23  – Member of Parliament for Hamble Valley, Paul Holmes, visited Windracers to meet the team behind the world’s most accomplished heavy-lift civil and defence drone, Windracers ULTRA.

During the recent visit, MP Paul Holmes met Windracers’ Group Chairman and Founder Stephen Wright, spoke with engineers and toured the expanded factory in Fareham, Hampshire.

MP Paul Holmes was shown Windracers ULTRA in production, including aircraft due to be deployed on research missions in Antarctica and defence operations in Ukraine.

Windracers ULTRA, is a long-distance, heavy-lift, dual-use drone that flies autonomously and can carry up to 150kg over distances of up to 1,000km. It has already flown thousands of kilometres and delivered real-world missions across Antarctica, North America, Europe, and soon Africa.

The visit also highlighted how Windracers is helping to build advanced engineering skills and create high-value jobs in the region.
