Pakistan To Build 4 of 8 Submarines
Beijing. Beijing’s Reference News reported that China will transfer submarine technology to Pakistan and the two nations will together build eight submarines for Pakistan. Four will be built in China and the other four in Karachi.
A training center will also be established in Karachi for the assembly of the submarines, Hussain Rana Tanveer Hussain, Pakistan’s minister of defense production informed.
Hussian did not reveal the type of submarine that will be built nor the timelines of the construction. The rumour if to be believed is that the Type 041 Yuan-class submarine has been selected as the model.
