The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) 2025, organized by NO. 2 MAH AIR SQN NCC, Nagpur, was successfully conducted from 10th to 19th July 2025 at Heti Surla, Saoner.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from 424 cadets from different schools and colleges, supported by 12 PI staff, 10 ANOs, and was led by Wing Commander V. Deepika Rao, the Commanding Officer of NO 2 MAH AIR SQN .

The camp commenced with an inspiring opening ceremony, where Wing Commander  Deepika Rao addressed the cadets, setting the tone for ten days of learning, discipline, and self-discovery. 

With a meticulously designed schedule blending physical drills, cultural expression, and intellectual sessions and engaging events. The camp aimed to nurture the cadets holistically.

Each day began with PT, drill, and yoga, instilling physical endurance and mental discipline. Cadets honed their skills through rifle firing, tent pitching, and took part in a variety of competitions including debate, quiz, marathon, drill competition, and the Best Cadet selection, all of which promoted leadership, critical thinking, and the spirit of fair competition. 

These events not only tested their abilities but also brought out hidden potential and boosted self-confidence.

A special session on cyber safety was conducted to educate cadets about digital threats and responsible online behaviour, an essential awareness in today’s increasingly connected world. Lectures by notable institutions such as NDRF, Garud Commandos, and Janakrosh (Road Safety Unit) added depth to the training, along with a motivational session on joining the Armed Forces by retired Group Captain H. J. Singh.

The camp wasn’t just about routine and rigor—it also celebrated creativity. The final day featured a vibrant cultural evening, where cadets showcased their talents through song, dance, and drama. The event concluded with an award ceremony, graced by Group Captain Khushal Vyas, Group Commander, who felicitated the outstanding performers in competitions and cultural events.

Above all, the camp emphasized discipline, dedication, and unity. With a strong focus on health and hygiene, the safety and well-being of every cadet and staff member remained a top priority throughout.

The CATC 2025 stood as a testament to the NCC’s commitment to “Unity and Discipline”, grooming the next generation of responsible, resilient, and spirited citizens.
