Samira Draoua, CEO of Louis Dreyfus ArmateursThe EUROMARITIME exhibition, a flagship biennial event for the Mediterranean and European maritime economy, will be held from 3rd to 5th February 2026 at Parc Chanot in Marseille.

With five months to go before the opening, the organisers have announced the main features: a new president, an enhanced conference programme and a stronger commercial momentum.

I. Samira Draoua, president of EUROMARITIME 2026

Samira Draoua, who became CEO of LD Armateurs in July 2025, will chair EUROMARITIME 2026. With a strong background in finance, digital transformation and maritime operations in France and on the international scene, she has notably headed the company Les Abeilles International. Her experience and knowledge of international events are a valuable asset for EUROMARITIME.

II. A conference programme focusing on the future

SOGENA has unveiled the preliminary conference programme for this 7th edition. Three major themes will structure the debates, with each of the three days devoted to a key area of discussion. Researchers, industry representatives and institutional figures will share their expertise and provide insight into the strategic challenges facing the sector.

Tuesday 3rd February / International focus: Europe – Mediterranean – Africa

  • Morocco, Africa’s new port powerhouse at the gateway to Europe
  • Inter-Mediterranean industrial cooperation : competitive challenge for tomorrow’s shipbuilding industry
  • Customs duties and geopolitical crises : daily challenges for maritime transport and the logistics chain

Wednesday 4th February / Cooperation for protection: maritime safety and sovereignty

  • International cooperation and maritime security : How can information sharing between States and coastguard stakeholders be improved to better coordinate action at sea?
  • New capabilities for action at sea : New technologies serving coastguard functions – simple adaptation or a real revolution?
  • Energy transition and emerging maritime security issues : The energy transition in shipping: new risks to manage?

Thursday 5th February / Tangible solutions for a transitioning maritime sector 

  • 2050 : what stance are European shipping companies taking ?
  • 2030 is just around the corner : key dates for decarbonisation
  • What is the current status of decarbonised port services ?
  • Navigation safety at the heart of buoying issues
  • New maritime assignment missions
  • Electric or hydrogen : what is the right choice for small vessels ?
  • Cruise charter : what is the assessment and what avenues should be pursued to decarbonise a segment that has come under close scrutiny ?

III. Accreditation platform and commercial drive

The press visitor accreditation platform is now open.

In 2026, EUROMARITIME is consolidating its international focus by opening up more widely to Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa. With official delegations, national pavilions and themes dedicated to interregional cooperation, the exhibition is affirming its role as an essential business platform for developing new opportunities in the southern Mediterranean. Marseille, the natural gateway to Southern Europe and a strategic crossroads between continents, will be the ideal location to welcome more than 6,000 visitors and 300 exhibitors.
