Hyderabad. 28 January 2026. The aviation fraternity, policymakers, industry leaders, and international delegates had gathered in large numbers to witness the spectacular opening of India’s flagship civil aviation event. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as Union Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated the event after landing aboard an Air India flight, accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Air India CEO Campbell Wilson. Many senior officials and industry leaders expressed deep condolences, describing the incident as a grave national loss.

Several sessions observed moments of silence, while speakers expressed solidarity with the people of Maharashtra and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and colleagues of the departed leader.
