• Airborne International Response Team (AIRT), in collaboration with Commercial UAV Expo, will host the DRONERESPONDERS Public Safety Summit, September 3&4, 2025, in Las Vegas

Portland, Maine USA — July 21, 2025 — The DRONERESPONDERS Public Safety Summit will take place at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas as part of Commercial UAV Expo. Produced by Airborne International Response Team (AIRT), the Summit will feature two days of programming designed to educate and prepare first responder UAS program managers and remote pilots at every experience level for public safety UAS operations. The Summit will take place on September 3 and 4 as part of Commercial UAV Expo, which runs from September 2-4.

“Bringing public safety and emergency services officers together with UAS experts and pilots increases the effectiveness of all stakeholders, and ultimately benefits communities nationwide,” said Christopher Todd, Executive Director, AIRT. “By integrating unmanned aircraft into their operations, first responders gain improved aerial perspectives in areas that are inaccessible or too dangerous for ground teams, providing real-time data collection capabilities offering faster response times for critical incidents.”

Session topics include: Building a Public Safety UAS Program; Shared Skies: How Public Safety and DOTs are Advancing UAS Integration; Defending the Airspace: cUAS for First Responders; Drones in Disasters – Lessons from the Front Lines; Airspace Evolution: AAM and the Future of Emergency Response; and Unite the Mission: Public Safety UAS Training.

Presenters include Jason Day, DRONERESPONDERS Deputy Director of Training, along with representatives from public safety sectors across multiple states, including the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Department of Transportation, Florida Highway Patrol, Virginia State Police, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Pheonix Fire Department, and more.
