All India Vayu Sainik CampNCC Group HQ Nagpur  organized an esteemed felicitation program at the Headquarters Maintenance Command, IAF, to honour the outstanding cadets who excelled in All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) 2025. This year NO.2 MAH AIR SQN NCC,which is situated in Institute of Science, NAGPUR was the conducting unit for training of the cadets and excelling their skills to achieve this glorious victory. The ceremony highlighted honouring the hard work, discipline, and dedication of the cadets, who have brought immense pride to the Maharashtra Directorate with their achievements.

The event was graced by distinguished individuals,  Brig Abhijeet S Valimbe, Station Commander ,Uttar Maharashtra & Gujarat Sub-Area , Gp Capt B P Yadhav , Chief Engineering Officer(CEO),AFS Sonegaon,  Gp Capt Khushal Vyas, Gp Cdr Nagpur Gp Hq NCC, Wg Cdr V Deepika Rao, Commanding Officer , No 2 MAH AIR SQN NCC, Nagpur , and Commanding Officers of various NCC Units. The ceremony provided a platform to celebrate the cadets’ exceptional achievements in various fields.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and cadets, followed by a series of cultural performances that set a vibrant tone for the program. A presentation by the Commanding Officer showcased the contingent’s journey and accomplishments, leading into the much-awaited felicitation ceremony and briefing the audience about the journey of cadets from IGC to lifting up the trophies in AIVSC .

All India Vayu Sainik CampAt the recently concluded AIVSC 2025, the Maharashtra Directorate contingent delivered an exceptional performance. In the Health and Hygiene competition, CWO VIPIN GAJBHIYE secured the Gold medal, while in .22 Firing, CWO AADYA PANDE earned the Silver. The Directorate excelled in the Best Pilot (SD) category, with Cdt/Sgt NITIN SHARMA winning Gold, Cdt/Cpl RAJESHWAR JADHAV bagging Silver, and Cdt PRATHAMESH JOSHI securing Bronze. Cdt SAKSHI HAZARI added further glory with a Gold in the Best Pilot (SW) category. In Aeromodelling (Control Line), Cdt PRATHAMESH JOSHI and Cdt PRITI DESHMUKH clinched the Gold medal. Beyond these individual triumphs, the Maharashtra Directorate was awarded the prestigious BEST FLYING CONTINGENT Trophy and was also adjudged the Second BEST AIR CONTINGENT at the national camp.

The Chief Guest, Brig Valimbe, praised the cadets for their commitment and emphasized that such camps instil qualities of responsibility, discipline, and patriotism, which are essential for nation-building . He highlighted some important qualities a student must inculcate in himself to become successful in his career.  In his address, he encouraged cadets to continue striving for excellence and to use their training to emerge as responsible citizens and future leaders. He concluded his speech by assuring the Nagpur group to provide all the support and assistance in every possible way.

The event concluded with a fellowship dinner, marking the perfect end to an evening of pride, culture, and inspiration.

The organizers extended heartfelt gratitude to the Maharashtra Directorate, HQMC, IAF, Nagpur and all three Air Units of Maharashtra for their unwavering support and encouragement, which played a vital role in the success of this event and the growth of cadets
