Mumbai, India. 03 February 2026. The recent India–US trade announcement, confirming a reduction of US reciprocal tariffs on Indian goods to 18%, marks a significant reset in bilateral economic relations after nearly a year of challenging negotiations.

“The tariff relief is a strong policy signal. The priority now must be on effective implementation, addressing non-tariff barriers, and translating this diplomatic progress into tangible business outcomes.”
He concluded, “This is a clear opportunity for Indian industry to leverage improved market access, scale exports, and deepen strategic cooperation with US partners in high-value, technology-driven sectors.”
