ST Engineering’s longstanding relationship with Xiamen Airlines spans over 35 years, beginning with JT8D, CFM56-3 and CFM567B engine shop visits. The expansion of this partnership to LEAP-1A PRSV services underscores ST Engineering’s extensive and growing engine MRO solutions as well as its long-term support for airline customers as they undergo fleet modernisation with new-generation aircraft.

Tang Jianqi, Deputy General Manager of Engineering & Maintenance at Xiamen Airlines, said, “The success of ST Engineering in winning this highly competitive bidding project on the first round PRSV of Xiamen Airlines’ LEAP-1A fleet fully demonstrates its comprehensive competence in the engine maintenance industry, including quality, service, and pricing. For airlines, engine overhaul strategy is one of the most critical decisions in Engineering & Maintenance. A long-term, stable strategic partnership alliance is precisely what Xiamen Airlines expects on a capable engine overhaul manufacturer such as ST Engineering.”

Tay Eng Guan, Head of Engine Services at ST Engineering, said, “This new agreement with Xiamen Airlines is a testament to their strong confidence in our engine MRO capabilities, built on a robust track record of reliable and high-quality maintenance we have provided to their engine fleets over the years. By stepping up our support with CFM LEAP engine PRSV services, we will give Xiamen Airlines the peace of mind to stay focused on their operations and growth while we ensure the upkeep of their engines.”
