Madrid, May 14, 2025. – SIA, Indra Group’s company specializing in cybersecurity, has acquired the Minsait Cyber commercial denomination, adopting the Minsait brand and maintaining its corporate name.
This step is the result of the company’s evolution since its incorporation into Indra Group more than five years ago, while, at the same time, it will make it more visible and strengthen its cooperation with the other areas of the Group, with a view to responding more effectively to the cybersecurity challenges facing organizations.
According to Luis Abril, executive director of Indra and general manager of Minsait CEO, “within a context of growing concern about security and increasingly complex cyberthreats, conditioned by the emergence of AI and other technologies, we need to strengthen our capabilities and our cross-disciplinary nature and the collaboration between all of our units and businesses to guarantee the protection of our customers’ assets and improve our capacity to respond to any attack”.
In this regard, Minsait Cyber’s CEO, Roberto Espina, pointed out that “the advanced cybersecurity capabilities and professionals of our company ideally complement the value proposition and offer of Indra Group, enabling us to respond to the demands of our customers in a comprehensive and more personalized manner”.
In fact, the cybersecurity company has gone to great lengths to develop its portfolio in recent years. It has opted not only for sectoral specialization, but also for investment and the development of proprietary products, with a firm commitment to technological sovereignty, the integration of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, and key technological alliances to minimize risks and maximize the protection of businesses and services for citizens.
Minsait Cyber’s end-to-end value offer is capable of addressing any cybersecurity need or challenge facing an organization, including 360º cybersecurity, responding to the NIST framework (identify, protect, detect, respond and recover) and identity solutions (digital identity, trust services, biometrics and smart borders), which SIA leads with its own flagship product.
Among other achievements, this evolution has enabled SIA, now known as Minsait Cyber, “to consolidate our global growth and provide answers for each sector and organization, verticalizing our offer and integrating cybersecurity into other Group solutions and technologies”, explained its CEO, Roberto Espina.
Under the Minsait brand image, Minsait Cyber will maintain its management, structure, operations and team as it has done until now. Moreover, the company’s ongoing projects and initiatives will continue, providing the very best service for current and future customers, as will the relationships with its most strategic technological partners.
The transition towards its new brand image and the Minsait Cyber name will encompass all of the companies and brands that are part of the current SIA, except for Mobbeel, a company specializing in identity verification and biometrics, and MSS, a German cybersecurity company highly specialized in detecting and dealing with cyberattacks. This evolution also entails updating its social media profiles and corporate website, which will now be minsaitcyber.com.
With over 35 years’ experience, SIA, now Minsait Cyber, is the largest Spanish company specializing in cybersecurity and it continues to consolidate its global positioning. With sales growth totaling around 20% since its integration into the Group, it now employs a team of over 2,000 specialists. Likewise, it maintains its commitment to attracting and training professionals with different degrees of experience through, among other initiatives, 27 agreements with universities and 23 vocational training centers designed to meet the needs of the market and facilitate a secure digital transformation.
