Nagpur, India – The National Cadet Corps (NCC) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of its first batch of Master Drone Instructor Candidates from across India. The course was conducted at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Kamptee in Nagpur.
This pioneering course is a testament to NCC’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology and empowering its cadets with the skills of the future. The Master Drone Instructor course is designed to equip NCC cadets with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in drone training, manufacturing, flying, and repairing.

Upon completion of the course, certified instructors will be authorized to operate Remote Pilot Training Organizations (RPTOs), and those who trained in NCC will receive Remote Pilot Certificates (RPCs) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This is a huge achievement for NCC’s future, opening doors to new opportunities for its cadets.
The course is a significant step towards harnessing the potential of drones in various applications, following the success of Operation Sindoor. The government is taking action to propel India to new heights, and NCC’s initiative is a testament to this vision.
Inaugural Batch:

The inaugural batch of Master Drone Instructor Candidates included representatives from various directorates across India, including Maharashtra, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Karnataka, and Goa.
This historic achievement marks a new chapter in NCC’s journey, empowering its cadets with the skills and knowledge to excel in the rapidly evolving drone industry.
