Swift and coordinated flood relief operations are underway in Nanded district, Maharashtra, after heavy inundation affected the villages of Rawan and Husnan on the banks of the Lendi River. Rising waters left approximately 50 civilians stranded, prompting an urgent request for assistance from the District Disaster Management Officer.

Responding immediately, the Indian Army mobilised a column, comprising medical and engineer teams , along with an Emergency Task Force . The teams were deployed at short notice at 1130 hours to provide timely rescue and relief support.

The relief operations are in progress under the supervision of Headquarters Southern Command, with Army personnel working alongside local authorities to ensure the safe evacuation of stranded villagers and provision of essential assistance.
