Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM General Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Command visited Army Establishment’s in Nagpur and Kamptee from 14-16 Apr 24. He was briefed by General Officer Commanding, Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area about the active role being played by Sub Area in Operations, Humanitarian Aid in Disaster Relief and Welfare of Ex-Servicemen. The Army Commander was later shown the infrastructure development, ecological works and other initiatives taken up by the Headquarter Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area at Nagpur. The Army Commander appreciated the efforts of Sub Area on numerous fronts to include extending support to civil administration during various disasters and upliftment of Ex-Servicemen in the Vidharbha Region.
The Army Commander also visited the Guards Regiment Centre Kamptee and Economic Explosive Limited (EEL), where he was briefed about the ultra modern trends in munitions.
The General Officer interacted with the staff and exhorted all ranks to continue to strive towards excellence. He appreciated the progress made by the Sub Area and various initiatives for welfare and outreach activities undertaken recently.
